Arc Flash Protection and Temperature Rise Explosion-Proof System Solution

System Overview

40% of power accidents are caused by overheating of high-voltage electrical equipment. Contacts and connection points of electrical equipment such as switches, disconnectors, and cables increase in gap or contact resistance during long-term operation due to aging, loosening, contamination, substandard installation processes, or overload operation. Under the action of current, this causes heating and continuous temperature rise.

Long-term high-temperature overheating leads to a decline in the mechanical strength and physical properties of electrical equipment, while the continuous current flow accelerates oxidation at the connection points, causing further increase in contact resistance and continuous temperature rise.

This vicious cycle seriously affects the service life of electrical equipment and poses a great threat to the safe and stable operation of the power grid. Therefore, It is very necessary to monitor and provide early warning of temperature changes in power equipment, especially electrical connection points, in real time.

System Composition

Host

The host mainly includes the SPR63-T temperature rise explosion-proof main unit and the SPR63-C temperature data concentrator.
